Monica Young-Freeman had her whole life ahead to look forward to.Her solid faith in God had been her support for many years. As a devote Christian,she had tasted the other side of life, and it was bitter. She was determined to live a Christian life and surrender to the Lord. That was however, until one day when her ex-husband shot her five times at point blank range, then turned the gun on himself. He died instantly, Monica laid there with hot blood running all over her body. Her life began to unfold before her dazed eyes. Her faith in God was about to be tested. This is Loosed, As I Went; I Was healed, the life of a woman in every detail as she saw it. Young-Freeman's life unfolded like a movie, in slow motions. She saw everything clearly,all the places she had been, all the people she'd known, and all the choices she had made that led to this fatal moment. As she laid there waiting for the medics to arrive,she knew one thing for sure, if she was going to survive, it was for a reason. If not, she was prepared to meet her God. She also believed that God had a good plan for her life, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace not evil,to give you a future and hope' (Jeremiah 29:11). Yet lying there, soiled in her own blood,her question was how "God's Plan", was going to be revealed. Monica Young-Freeman is a living miracle. Her story is not one that glorifies domestic violence, but instead it is a pathway for truth. It is a captivating story that highlights the choices people make that can affect their children, and generations. It is a revealing look into someone's life, who admittedly did not do everything right, but was willing to learn and grow.
